Yesterday, while the world mourned the 50 people shot dead at the Pulse gay club in Orlando, USA, rapper Olamide reposted a meme that made a tasteless joke about the deaths, and this earned him the criticism of former Super Falcons player Chichi ‘Chified’ Igbo.

“Olamide, you are officially a douchebag for being so insensitive over such tragedy,” Chichi told him and then noted that the family of those who lost their lives are mourning, plus not everyone who visits a gay club is gay.

“It could be anyone, do pay some respect or stay silent,” she concluded.

Here’s what Olamide posted:

#postanddelete #Olamide done offend his fans with that post about the #Orlando shooting, do y'all think he tried it?? Meanwhile #prayfororlando

This has drawn a lot of reactions from Nigerians, many of whom are defending Olamide.

On Chified’ page, YBNL fans are dragging the former footballer for filth, making derogatory jokes about her lifestyle and of those who died in the terrorist attack.

We will not be posting the comments here as we do not condone them.

Olamide has taken down the offensive post without offering any explanations on why he changed his mind. However, he has blocked the footballer from accessing his Instagram page.

What do you think?
