Veteran Nollywood actor Bigval Jokotoye has been around in the industry for a while. The multi-dimentional oyo state born actor is not just a Nollywood fine boy, but has created a brand many find totally awesome with the dynamic role interpretation and the display of great screen energy. His fan base increased tremendously after the making of the yoruba movie ‘Iku doro’ produced by Toyin Aimakhu.
In an exclusive interview with the wonderful actor, this is what he said about Everything.
CAN WE MEET YOU OFFICIALLY?
I Am Bigvai Oreoluwa Jokotoye, from Ajaawa-ogbomosho in oyo state. A christian, an entertainer, married and easy going.
AN INSIGHT INTO YOUR BACKGROUND?
A christian background, my late dad was a pastor, my mum a biz woman. I have got 3 sisters, 2 brothers. I lived in different towns and villages as a kid because my father would be transferred from one place to another but it was fun. I was in UNAD (now EKSU) and about to finish my diploma in BFN when i lost my father and returning to school was hard,so,i dropped out to survive on my talents.
HOW DID THE MOVIE PART OF YOU START?
Right from the church, i started as a drama group member.
HOW MANY MOVIES HAVE YOU PRODUCED TO YOUR CREDIT?
One but i wish i never produced it, Since then, i stopped producing.
WHAT IS IT TITLED, AND WHY DID YOU SAY YOU REGRETTED PRODUCING?
The title initially was Dr Brown, but the marketer changed it without informing me to Epe Ana. I nearly lost my life to my life to the production but,i won’t say more about it for now. Tank GOD for my life today.
BEFORE EVERY SUCCESS, THERE IS A BIG CHALLENGE. DONT YOU FIND IT AS A PRICE TO PAY FOR IT SUCCESS?
I have paid prices in different forms,
Movie production in yoruba film industry needs to be checked. Some set of people are making money out of many poor uncivilized producers, they make them work hard in the hot sun while they sit in their offices to make the money while the producer is dying in slowly without making any profit.
ANY FUTURE PLANS TO PRODUCE ANY MOVIE AGAIN?

It’s my opinion and i have the right to do what i want. We see things differently.

YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING MOMENT?
The day a yoruba actress told me not to enter her hummer jeep because i was an errand boy. She told me to stand in the sun and listen to whatever aunt Fathia wanted to say then. It was a sunny afternoon in abeokuta and we were shooting a movie around agbeleoba, she was in her hummer jeep with Aunt Fathia gisting. Later, Aunt fathia called me where i was standing, she was going to send me somewhere, so, she told me to come into the car since the ac was on and the lady flaired up and said no.

Music. I love the strings, the chords and the sounds.

DO YOU THINK ITS A TREND NOW FOR NIGERIAN ACTORS GETTING MARRIED TO U. S. A LADIES?
I don’t knw about any other actor because i won’t poke nose. All i knw is my life and am happy.
