Wizkid was scheduled to perform at the 20,000 capacity Silver Stadium in Lilongwe on 4th June, but the promoters Black Rhyno Entertainment made the decision to cancel the show.

In a press release sent to media houses, the organisers revealed that the date clashes with another international concert involving South Africa’s House superstars, Mi Casa, which is happening on the same date in the capital city.

Multiple-award winning group Mi Casa are scheduled to perform on June 4 at the Bingu International Conference Centre in Lilongwe. A new date and further details on the Black Rhyno’s Wizkid Concert will be announced in due course.

This is the second time Wizkid has had issues with a concert on the continent. The ‘Baba Nla’ singer reportedly missed his flights, and arrived late for a concert in Zambia last month, resulting in the departure of guests.

Wizkid continues to fly high with ‘One Dance’, his collaboration with Drake and Kyla. The single has topped the charts in almost 20 countries and became number 1on the Billboard Hot 100 two weeks ago.
